The Venue
The conference will be held at the beautifully located medieval Castle of Bäckaskog (Bäckaskog Slott) near Kristianstad in the very south of Sweden, in the province of Skåne. The name of the castle is derived from bäck = rivulet and skog = forest.

Kristianstad* (pop. 30.000) was founded in 1614 by King Christian IV of Denmark but became Swedish when Sk
åne was handed over after the treaty of Roskilde in 1658.
