Technical note
|
|
It is
highly recommended to use up-to-date browsers, e. g. Internet Explorer
6 or Netscape 7. They can be downloaded free from
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/critical/ie6sp1/default.asp
or http://channels.netscape.com/ns/browsers/download.jsp.
Older versions sometimes don't recognise contemporary html code
properly which may result in strange signs appearing, incorrect
presentation of tables etc. To find out which version you have go to
"Help", then "Info" in the top toolbar.

Printing pages
using Netscape normally
doesn't pose
problems, provided you have set "Format/Size" to "medium".
However, with the Internet Explorer
it often happens that right hand edges are cut off. We have tried to
avoid that by increasing the right hand margin. If it still occurs:
- The easiest remedy is setting
"File/Page setup" to "landscape" (instead of "portrait").
- Alternatively, select (block) text
using the mouse, copy (CTRL+C) and
paste (CTRL+V) into a new
WORD (or other word processor) document.
You may also want to de-activate the "print
background" option and
change "color" to "black-and-white" or "grey scale" before printing.
